I made this soap for The Soap Challenge Club. It is inspired by a video game character who can summon ghostly helpers to do her bidding. I love the way this turned out and I placed 5th in the voting for The Soap Challenge Club.

Scent:  I used Cedarwood Essential Oil for an earthy note. There is a lovely tea scent that is tart and sweet with floral bergamot notes that combine with rich black tea. The other fragrance is ylang ylang, tonka, rose and jasmine. It is a fully indolic jasmine festival for the nose.

Details: My soaps are handmade using a method called cold process. Coconut, olive, and castor oils are combined with a lye water solution. The resulting batter is then colored, fragranced, and poured into a wooden mold with a silicone liner. The loaf goes through a process called saponification overnight meaning that the lye and oils have become hard soap. There is no lye remaining once this process is finished. After I pull them out of the mold, I cut them into bars and let them cure for six weeks. Since this soap does not contain any synthetic detergents, it will not strip the skin of its natural oils while still cleansing. The castor oil is used to create a nice lather.

Ingredients: olive oil, organic coconut oil, water, sodium hydroxide, cocoa butter, canola oil, castor oil, sodium lactate, fragrance oil, Cedarwood Essential Oil, and mica for color.

Notes: The recipe I use creates a very luscious but soft bar of soap. The bars may have been damaged during the packing and shipping process. Any dents are purely cosmetic and will not change the performance of the bar.

If any irritation occurs, please discontinue use immediately.
