This soap was inspired by the idea of someone who lives in the forest and fights for what they believe is right. I used essential oils to keep this soap smelling woodsy and natural. I also added piping and flowers to the top for extra decoration!
Scent: I used Cedarwood and Rosemary essential oils to give this soap a woodsy, natural scent.
Details: My soaps are handmade using a method called cold process. Coconut, olive, and castor oils are combined with a lye water solution. The resulting batter is then colored, fragranced, and poured into a wooden mold with a silicone liner. The loaf goes through a process called saponification overnight meaning that the lye and oils have become hard soap. There is no lye remaining once this process is finished. After I pull them out of the mold, I cut them. Since this soap does not contain any synthetic detergents, it will not strip the skin of its natural oils while still cleansing. The castor oil is used to create a nice lather.
