When I made this soap, I had been craving Blue Goo soft serve ice cream. I was inspired by the contrast of the bright blue and vivid white. When I was young, my mom told me that it was unnatural because no food was actually blue. But this has always been my favorite and I wanted to capture it in soap form.
Scent: This is a delicate mix of Apple, Almond, Cherry, Orange, Cyclamen, Jasmine, Geranium, and a hint of Rose.
Details: My soaps are handmade using a method called cold process. Coconut, olive, and castor oils are combined with a lye water solution. The resulting batter is then colored, fragranced, and poured into a wooden mold with a silicone liner. The loaf goes through a process called saponification overnight meaning that the lye and oils have become hard soap. There is no lye remaining once this process is finished. After I pull them out of the mold, I cut them into bars and let them cure for six weeks.
Ingredients: olive oil, organic coconut oil, water, sodium hydroxide, canola oil, castor oil, sodium lactate, fragrance oil, and mica for color
Notes: The recipe I use creates a very luscious but soft bar of soap. The bars may have been damaged during the packing and shipping process. Any dents are purely cosmetic and will not change the performance of the bar.
If any irritation occurs, please discontinue use immediately.
